RECOGNIZED PROVIDERS

 

 

Organizations or individuals requesting consideration as a recognized provider (a provider of continuing education courses that meet the provisions of section 65807 and is approved by an accreditation agency) must complete the course provider application and submit all required documentation.

 

 

 

COURSE PROVIDER APPLICATION

 

 

This application must be completed by each individual applying for registration as a Recognized Provider (a provider of approved coursework that meets provisions of section 65807 and is approved by an accreditation agency). This application will be kept on file by Hospitality Consultants of America for a minimum of 5 years.

  • MINIMUM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

    1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (G.E.D.)

    2. Have taken an approved food protection manager certification class and examination with the last  years and achieved an overall score of 90% or higher.       

    3. Submit course material to be utilized illustrating subject matter, primary topics, course syllabus and teaching method (Lecture, PowerPoint, etc.

Documentation of each minimum application requirement must be submitted

  • SECONDARY APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

    You must also meet at least one (1) of the following additional requirements and submit supporting documents.
    1. Teaching experience at a school, foodservice operation, registered food protection manager instructor, or independent food safety instructor/consultant.
    2. Successful completion of a degree program in food science, foodsafety, food technology, or equivalent degree at an accredited college of university.
    3. Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Registered Dietitian.
    4. Minimum of five (5) years supervisory management experience in a foodservice operation.
